Milwaukee Art Museum's Art in Bloom

Art in Bloom

April 10-13, 2008
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

An experience of fine art and flowers.
Presented by the Garden Club of the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Nature's vibrant palette adds a fragrant splash of color to the Museum's Collection galleries this spring. Forty lavish bouquets created by the top floral designers in Milwaukee will be placed next to the works of art in the Museum's Collection that inspired their eye-catching arrangements.

Join us in welcoming the celebrated season while developing your own green thumb. Take part in floral workshops and presentations on gardening, floral arranging, container gardening and environmentally friendly practices such as rain gardens. Art in Bloom will also feature a marketplace, complete with informational displays.

The Milwaukee Urban Water Trail

The Milwaukee Urban Water Trail (found here) is a trail and map for canoes, kayaks, and other small non-motorized boats on the “urban” portions of our three rivers. Water trail guides are comprised of access points, portages, and resting sites, and also includes information on historic, cultural, ecological, or scenic points of interest along the way. The ultimate goal of a water trail is to connect more people to the rivers in their backyards, and to inspire stewardship and protection of our waters.
