CO2 Emissions

In Wisconsin, most of our electricity comes from burning coal. At the power plant, it takes about one pound of coal to generate one kWh of electricity.  Each coal-based kWh also comes with about 2 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the important greenhouse gases linked to climate change.
