Teen Adventure Challenge 2011 A Success!
Thanks to Johnson Controls and our many generous sponsors, teams of four high school students and one adult used teamwork and critical thinking to navigate an exciting course through the urban wilderness along the Milwaukee River.

Urban Ecology Center Summer Camps are all about growing and learning. At either of our locations your child can have a fun, safe outdoor experience guided by the same professional educators who teach our school-year program.
Outdoor playtime enhances and reinforces developmental growth, helping children reach significant milestones. And while they're learning about astronomy to food to zoology, they're also retaining all they can, making them better prepared for the fall.
Not bad for just one week.
We want everyone to come to camp!
Thanks to generous donors we are able to offer need based scholarships for children to attend camp. To qualify for a scholarship, families must be eligible for the Free and Reduced Lunch program. Who we are
We are an environmental education organization with two community centers adjacent to Milwaukee County parks (or, as we like to call them “outdoor classrooms”). On any given day and you’ll 
find classes of students from local schools engaging in hands-on learning about science, nature and how to live more sustainably, community members using the array of resources we offer, adventure-seekers borrowing our outdoor recreational equipment, climbing the rock-wall in Riverside Park or canoeing in the lagoon in Washington Park , or people just visiting the center, its staff and volunteers. Best of all, the Urban Ecology Center is available to everyone for fun and learning nearly every day of the year!
