About this event

Get on the water before summer ends at the Washington Park Urban Ecology Center anytime between 10am - 1:30pm for a day of learning and laughter on the lagoon.

Our experienced instructors will host 3 learning stations:

- Common kayak strokes & movements

- Proper life jacket fitting

- 20 minute independent paddling on the lagoon

Learn a new skill or share your passion with others in a supportive and welcoming environment. Discover the joy of gliding across the water, surrounded by the stunning sights and sounds of nature. No experience necessary, just bring your sense of adventure and let's paddle together!

This kayak experience is suitable for ages 12 and up for single kayaks or ages 6 and up for tandem kayaks with at least 1 experienced adult to accompany. No children can sit on laps of other participants for this experience in the boats.
